Welcome to the Geekbench Mac Benchmark Chart. The data on this chart is calculated from Geekbench 4 results users have uploaded to the Geekbench Browser. To make sure the results accurately reflect the average performance of each Mac, the chart only includes Macs with at least five unique results in the Geekbench Browser.
An iMac with 4 cores is remarkable enough. But an iMac with 8, 10, 14, or 18 cores is an entirely different creature. Add Turbo Boost speeds up to 4.5GHz, and iMac Pro has the power and flexibility to balance multicore processing with single-thread performance.Tech SpecsBuyiPhoneFilms

I wanted to know how well this new setup performed compared to the graphics options — the integrated Intel GPU and the discrete AMD GPU — built into the MacBook Pro, so I ran a series of
Testing conducted by Apple in May 2019 using preproduction 2.5GHz 28-core Intel Xeon W-based Mac Pro systems with 384GB of RAM and dual AMD Radeon Pro Vega II Duo graphics with 32GB of HBM2 each, and shipping 2.3GHz 18-core Intel Xeon W-based 27-inch iMac Pro systems with 256GB of RAM and Radeon Pro Vega 64X graphics with 16GB of HBM2. Once we have access to the iMac Pro, we will do extensive benchmarking. Meanwhile, here are some "Pure GPU" benchmarks we ran with the RX Vega 64 installed in two different Mac Pros. The native High Sierra drivers for the Pro Vega in the iMac Pro open the way for the desktop version, RX Vega, to become essentially an Apple 'blessed' GPU upgrade
Many 15-inch MacBook Pro notebooks have two graphics processors (GPU)—a discrete GPU and an integrated GPU. The discrete GPU provides substantial graphics performance but uses more energy. The integrated GPU optimizes battery life by using less energy.
Both the Radeon Pro 575 and the Radeon Pro 580 outperform the FirePro D700 found in the Mac Pro. Note that the Compute Benchmark only measures the performance of one GPU at a time, so tasks that can use multiple GPUs will still have an advantage on the Mac Pro. Overall the 27-inch iMac is a powerful computer.
I'm looking to buy an iMac Pro. There are plenty of CPU benchmarks, but hardly any GPU benchmarks posted of the iMac Pro models afaik. It would be interesting to see what kind of performance improvement Vega Pro 64 offers over the 56 model. Professional and/or gaming benchmarks, anyone? Thanks!
